Sight reading test tips
You don't get very long so use the time wisely. The fill usually takes the most
working out so look at that first so you know what you are going into. Make no
assumptions about what drums you are playing on either. Be aware of whether
you are on ride or hi-hat and pay attention to the dynamics. In the early grades
dynamics only tend to get louder so make sure you start softly. Take your time
and don't rush.

keep a foot tapping to measure it as they play and count your foot not the
subdivisions they play.
Styles- This is much more of a memory test. Most of you already know the styles,
but spend some time looking at the list and cast it to memory.
